It has been a real pleasure this week to see how well Year 12 and 13 students have been settling back in. Around the college, some really purposeful lessons have been taking place.
School photos happened earlier on in the week for Year 12 and these will be available to purchase soon - students were given a card with details of how to do this.
I would briefly like to give a couple of reminders about attendance. Good attendance is classified as 95% attendance or above. We measure our attendance on being in lessons rather than being on college site. All students should be attending their allocated tutor slot at 10.45. This slot is vital for giving information on post 18 options, PSHE, exams and safeguarding matters. If a student is going to be absent they must either email - vi-student-services@theislandviform.org.uk or call in with the reason for their absence otherwise they will be marked as unauthorised.
Our trips are already underway this week, starting with Thursday's Science trip alongside information sessions on Oxford and Cambridge. If you haven't joined a college club yet, explore the options available and get involved with our college's enrichment activities
