Hours: 37 per week, 52 weeks per year Permanent contract
We are seeking to appoint an HR Business Partner to support the HISP MAT (Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Southampton and Portsmouth) Central HR service in delivering a high-quality HR business partnering service, in the first instance to Carisbrooke College and Medina College, actively contributing to the effective implementation of the people strategy, priorities and wider organisational objectives.
The HR Business Partner will be an enthusiastic and highly efficient, organised person with the ability to work as part of the Central, and confident to work independently delivering strategic goals within the remit of our Isle of Wight Schools. You will be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, while mentoring and coaching managers in the application of HR policies and practices. The HR Business Partner will be expected to provide advice, support and guidance to Senior Leaders on the full range of standard and complex employee relations and casework with an emphasis on improving performance management.
The HR Business Partner will carry out proactive intervention at an informal level and provide training and support for managers to drive forward people-led school improvement. The HR Business Partner will work closely with managers on tracking and maintaining the staffing establishment and effective workforce planning, taking into account the changing curriculum delivery needs. In collaboration with both the Central HR team and school-based HR Assistants, you will be expected to set up, develop and implement new processes and systems reviewing and improving standard letters, forms and checklists for employee relations and recruitment issues, ensuring high standards of service delivery and quality standards.
The MAT is early in its growth and the colleges are fast-paced, fun and caring environments in which to work and there are excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth and development. We believe in building excellent educational environments that inspire and unlock potential in all of its school communities. There are multiple schools within the Trust, covering the age ranges from nursery to 19 with plans to expand and grow quickly across our geographical location.
If you feel you have what it takes to be part of our dynamic team, we would be delighted to hear from you. If you have any questions about the role, please contact Kay McKenning - HISP HR Projects Lead - k.mckenning@hispmat.org. If you have any questions about the local schools, please contact Anna Mursell - anna.mursell@iow.hispmat.org.
