Island VI Form Students Crowned Overall Winners at Isle of Wight Young Enterprise Finals!

We are incredibly proud to announce that our Island VI Form students have been crowned overall winners of the Isle of Wight Young Enterprise Company Programme Finals!

Competing against seven Island teams from other establishments, BOUNDLESS WIGHT rose to the top with an outstanding performance, scoring an impressive 470 points out of a possible 500 — a remarkable achievement that reflects their hard work, innovation and professionalism.

This has set our team head and shoulders above their competition, demonstrating a true entrepreneurial spirit and the drive needed to succeed.

Meet Our Team

Led by CEO Sebastian Flower, the BOUNDLESS WIGHT team brought together a wide range of talents and expertise:

  • Sophie Sanders – Director of Sales and Deputy CEO
  • Louie Wakefield – Head of Development
  • Conor Dean – Head of Marketing
  • Issac Millington - Finance Director
  • Kinga Kurowska – Head of Design
  • Liv Adraienssens – Director of Social Media and Marketing
  • Harry Shand – Director of Fundraising and Sponsorship

Together, they demonstrated exceptional teamwork, creativity and business acumen throughout the programme.

The team were supported by their dedicated business mentor, Tracy Osborn, Director of Quarr Abbey, whose guidance and encouragement helped shape the company’s journey from initial idea to award-winning enterprise.

Pitching WALK THE WIGHT

BOUNDLESS WIGHT pitched their product, the WALK THE WIGHT board game — a creative and engaging game inspired by the spirit of adventure which permeates the entirety of our Island.

From concept development and design to marketing strategy and financial planning, the students took the reins and barrelled forth, delivering a presentation that impressed judges and audience alike.

A Prestigious Event

The finals were held at GG's, bringing together a range of business magnates and local representatives from across the Island, including the High Sheriff and the Deputy Lieutenant of the Island, who promised to report our success up the ladder to His Majesty himself.

On to the Hampshire & IOW Finals!

Following their Island triumph, BOUNDLESS WIGHT have now progressed to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Young Enterprise Finals, which will be held at the Office for National Statistics offices in Southampton on Tuesday 24th March.

This next stage will see them compete against top teams from across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight — a challenge our team is ready to meet head on..

A Truly Outstanding Achievement

Winning overall, alongside the Marketing and Finance Awards, and now progressing to the regional finals, is an exceptional accomplishment. Scoring 470/500 against seven competing teams is testament to the immense effort and creativity our team has put into their company..
