Boundless Wight Crowned Best Company in Hampshire and Isle of Wight

Our talented student Young Enterprise company Boundless Wight is celebrating major success after being named Best Company in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Young Enterprise competition yesterday, alongside receiving a special award for Best Use of Marketing.
The achievement comes shortly after the team secured victory in the Isle of Wight heat, marking an impressive run of success as they continue to build momentum in the competition.
Boundless Wight, part of the Young Enterprise programme, has developed a business centred around board games, with their flagship product being a ‘Walk the Wight’ board game. Reflecting a strong commitment to the local community, the team has pledged to donate a percentage of their profits to Mountbatten Hospice.
Judges were full of praise for the team, highlighting their community-focused approach, resilience in overcoming challenges, and strong environmental credentials. Particular recognition was given to their exceptional marketing strategy, including high levels of engagement across social media platforms.
Their latest win means the team will now represent the region at the South East Final, taking place in Central London on 12th May.
The journey to the competition was made possible thanks to the generous support of Red Funnel, who sponsored the team’s travel. The trip itself proved to be a memorable part of the experience, with ferry staff enthusiastically joining in to play the team’s board game during the crossing.
Thanks also must go to the team's Business Mentor, Tracy Osborne, Director of Operations at Quarr Abbey, and Island VI Form teachers, Ms Garey and Mr Kidd. Their support, advice and guidance have been invaluable on the team's journey.
We are immensely proud of the students’ achievements so far and now look forward to supporting them as they take on the next stage of the competition.
