Boundless Wight Celebrated at Quarr Abbey’s Annual Fundraising Supper

Students from Island VI Form’s successful Young Enterprise company Boundless Wight, alongside their teachers, were honoured guests at the Abbott’s Annual Fundraising Supper at Quarr Abbey, enjoying a memorable evening celebrating community, enterprise and collaboration.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Abbey grounds, guests gathered beneath a beautifully decorated marquee for a relaxed and elegant summer evening. The tranquil surroundings provided the perfect setting for an evening of conversation, celebration and fundraising. Guests were welcomed with drinks on arrival before enjoying a delicious two-course dinner, followed by a fundraising raffle in support of the important work of Quarr Abbey.
Among the distinguished guests were Joe Robertson MP, Sir Martin White and Lady White, and Dominic Wray, Head of Tourism, alongside many other community leaders and supporters.
The evening also included thoughtful speeches from Abbot Father Xavier Perrin, who reflected on themes of love, community and the role of technology in modern life, including an insightful discussion around the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence. Boundless Wight were delighted to be recognised during the speeches, highlighting the impact of young people’s ambition, creativity and entrepreneurship within the Island community.
For the Boundless Wight team, the evening was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate their achievements and meet inspirational figures from across the Island. The students have worked incredibly hard throughout their Young Enterprise journey, developing their business idea, creating products, managing their company and representing Island VI Form with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Their invitation to such a prestigious event was a wonderful acknowledgement of their dedication and the support they have received from the wider Island business community.
The Boundless Wight team said they were “honoured and grateful” to have been included in such a special evening and enjoyed the chance to share their experiences with local business leaders and community figures.
Island VI Form would like to thank Quarr Abbey for their generous hospitality and for recognising the achievements of our students. Opportunities such as these demonstrate the value of connecting education, enterprise and the wider community — helping students develop confidence, networks and skills that will support them well beyond sixth form.
Congratulations to Boundless Wight on another fantastic achievement!
