Our Year 13 Chemists make simple electrochemical cells (batteries) as part of their practical certificate. The students compared the voltage of different concentrations of solutions to evaluate the effectiveness of the electrochemical

Students attended STEM to complete a heart dissection. It was great to welcome some non-scientists to the group. Students orientated themselves with the different parts of the heart, looking for the major chamber and valves. The main observation was how small the Artims (the top chamber on each side of the heart, that fills with blood first).
