This week, STEM students investigated the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide using different chemical and biological catalysts. This is the basis behind The elephant's toothpaste experiment! The result is a jet of foam that can be measured to ass


Students attended STEM to complete a heart dissection. It was great to welcome some non-scientists to the group. Students orientated themselves with the different parts of the heart, looking for the major chamber and valves. The main observation was how small the Artims (the top chamber on each side of the heart, that fills with blood first).
