Year 12 Mathematics Students Tackle The Large Data Set
The year 12 A-Level mathematicians have recently spent some of their maths lessons in a computer room investigating the large data set. The data set is based on a sample of registered vehicles in three regions of England and provides data about their fuel type, engine size and emissions. Students were required to make conjectures, find patterns, make comparisons and present their results using correct mathematical diagrams. All students rose to the challenge, considering the implications real life data can bring with missing values and anomalies. They have produced fantastic work. Well done year 12!
