On Wednesday 25 June, we had our annual Awards Evening where we celebrated the success of the year. During the evening, students received subject awards alongside awards for Adversity, Community Life and the Head of School Award for Year 12 and Year 13.

We were very pleased to welcome the High Sheriff, Jacqueline Gazzard, who presented the awards on our behalf and our guest speaker, Lieutenant Commander Emma McCorrmick. Emma gave a talk on her experiences in the armed forces, overcoming adversity and winning gold in the Invictus Games, but most importantly, imparting her life lessons on how to make the most out of every opportunity.

Guests were entertained by musical performances from our staff and students and light refreshments were served on arrival. 

Alongside the Awards ceremony, we had an exhibition of students' work which was of amazing quality and demonstrated the breadth and creativity of our student community. We are immensely proud of every student who joins us and this was a fitting event to celebrate their successes. 

We look forward to this becoming an annual event in our VI Form calendar.
