Head of School’s Blog – 21 June 2024
Dear Students, Parents and Carers
We are one week away from Year 12 trial exams and welcoming Year 10 students from Carisbrooke College and Medina College (each for one day) and future Year 12 students (for a morning) from across the Island. Please make them feel welcome when they join us.
The opportunity to participate in work experience follows the end of year exams between 10 and 12 July. Students not on work experience are expected to be in school attending lessons.
In the last week of term there will be other opportunities to improve employment skills with various workshops and activities on offer: CV writing, UCAS applications and practice interviews. More information will be provided via the Student Services Hub.
Thank you for making the student entrance a movement zone and always wearing your lanyards, thus improving the safeguarding of all students and staff.
Finally, on a safeguarding note, enjoy the Isle of Wight Festival if you are going this weekend. Make sure you look after yourself and your friends; don’t leave someone alone or allow friends to make decisions that put themselves at risk or that are out of character. We are open as usual on Monday and you are expected to attend all lessons as normal.
Have a great weekend.
Mr Mumford
