Head of School’s Blog – 7 June 2024
Dear Students, Parents & Carers
Individual trial exam timetables for Year 12 students are being distributed in lessons or are available from main reception. Please make sure that you have yours and that you have checked it carefully. Revision should now have switched to the repeat, repeat, repeat phase, rather than creation of revision resources.
After the trial exams there is a three day work experience opportunity. If you are not on work experience, you must be in school attending lessons as normal.
Safeguarding is of paramount importance at The Island VI Form and I must stress the following non-negotiables:
– You must be wearing your lanyard whilst on site
– Do not hold the student entrance door open for people
– If you have forgotten your lanyard, use the reception entrance and request a temporary student lanyard
– Finally, the student entrance is a movement zone and not a social area. There are plenty of outside spaces within the internal part of the school (art or central courtyard and the playground).
Remember that this is about all of us and how we keep everyone safe.
Have a great weekend.
Mr Mumford
